Alisports, the sports wing of Alibaba Group, and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) announced a strategic partnership 1 last Monday in Hangzhou, to bring the fast-developing e-sports or electronic sports to the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.

The partners said e-sports will be added to the 2017 Ashgabat Asian Indoor and Martial 2 Arts Games (AIMAG), the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games and the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
双方表示，电子竞技将加入2017年阿什哈巴德亚洲室内与武道运动会、2018年雅加达亚运会和2022年杭州亚运会。

Earlier this month, the OCA had already added e-sports to the AIMAG.

Formed in 1982, the OCA manages and organizes a series of major comprehensive sporting events, including the Asian Games, the Asian Winter Games, the AIMAG, the Asian Beach Games and the Asian Youth Games.
