China's digital economy is predicted to create over 400 million jobs by 2035, according to a Boston Consulting Group report.
波士顿咨询集团近日发布的一份报告显示，到2035年，我国的数字经济预计将创造逾4亿的就业机会。
The internet-based economy could be worth $16 trillion by then, the report said.
报告称，届时网络经济规模可能将达16万亿美元。
Alibaba, China's biggest online trader, is expected to generate over 100 million jobs, according to the report, with 30 million created last year.

As jobs are created, digital technology like cloud computing 1 and artificial intelligence will replace more and more manpower, the report said.

Meanwhile, 20% of the world's population will become self-employed or freelance via the internet within the next decade, Alibaba Vice 2 President Gao Hongbing said.

The digital economy will surpass the manufacturing sector 3 in scale and account for a quarter of the world's economy, Gao said.
