CCTV9英语新闻:大使:日本的举措似曾相识
时间:2019-01-05 作者:英语课 分类:CCTV9英语新闻2014年01月
Deja vu of Nazi 1 Germany is how China’s ambassador to UK has described the recent remarks and provocation 2 of Japanese leaders. Liu Xiaoming says Germany did similar things before the Second World War.
In TV interviews with British media, Ambassador Liu condemned 3 Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s controversial visit to the Yasukuni Shrine 4, which honors war criminals from World War Two. He called it a move to restore Japan’s past militarism and provoke regional tension. Liu warned that Japanese leaders’ attitude to Yasukuni is decisive to Japan’s future.
Liu Xiaoming urged Japan to return to the right track. And he called for joint 5 efforts from the international community to prevent the revival 6 of Japanese militarism, to maintain peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.
