US special envoy 1 on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Glyn Davies has arrived in Beijing to discuss nuclear issues on the Korean Peninsula.
Davies is scheduled to meet with Chinese Vice 2 Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui, and China’s Special Representative for Korean peninsula affairs Wu Dawei. Denuclearization of the Korean peninsular and resumption of six-party talks are at the top of their agenda.
Foreign ministry 3 spokesman, Qin Gang, told a press conference on Monday that China wants to see enhanced trust at the negotiating table, and hopes the six-party talks will soon resume. Davies is also scheduled to visit South Korea and Japan.
