suit /sju:t/ 是"(上下成套的)西装",而suite /swi:t/ 是饭店的"套房",
请注意拼写及发音的差异. 如果说 in one's birthday suit 则是指"裸体"的意思.
82. God, we look like sheep---we're all carrying the same folders 1.
天啊!我们都带着同样的文件夹,看起来一模一样.
sheep 是"绵羊",单复数同,此处指"模仿别人着,盲从者",
含有轻蔑的意思. They are all sheep, looking just alike 2.
是说(他们这群人相互模仿,看起来一模一样).
83. I'd like to stay away from jobs that are demanding, dirty, or dangerous.
我想避开劳累,污秽或危险的工作.
stay away from ...是"离开...". 英语中所谈到的"工作上的三D"是指

此处的 lead 是"线索". lay one's hands on 则是"抓住,得到,找出"等意.

take off (=remove) 是"除去". nail polish (=manicure)是"指甲油",
