UNIT 20 An Advertisement

Integrated Skills Development

Passage
How Do You Buy Things You Want?

How do you buy things you want? Do you just walk into a shop, pick something out, pay for it and take it away? Or do you go to several shops and then compare prices carefully? A tiring business indeed! Or do you use a shopping advertisement? Suppose, for instance, you want to buy a shirt. What do you do? Obviously, you can't walk into several shops because it's time consuming. Perhaps the best way is to read advertisements.
Here is a shirt advertisement. Study it carefully and see if you can understand it.
