Tip:
一般在向上司或人事部申请加薪时，对方会问加薪的理由What makes you think we should give you a raise?(你为什么认为我们应该给你加薪?)，这时就应该举出正当的理由来说服他们。less和than连用有两种结构:less than和less... than...。less than后面接形容词、副词时，意为"不;很少;不到具有否定意义。如 The young man is less than twenty years old. (这个年轻人不到20岁。); less... than意为"不像……;不是……"。例如: Joseph is less honest than his brother. (约瑟夫不像他兄弟那样诚实。)
