Palestinian authority President Mahmoud Abbas is in Washington. He meets President Bush today. On the agenda is the Middle East peace process. Abbas is pressing the US to help kick-start talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
The hundreds of children taken in a raid on the polygamist compound in Texas are going to group homes, shelters and foster care. Child welfare official say the children won't have contact with other kids. TVs will be turned off, and they can still be home-schooled. They say it's meant to protect the children who until now have lived a secluded 4 life.
With gas prices sky-high, this little hybrid 5 is revving 6 up interest in New York. Beginning this week, drivers can rent the eco-friendly zipcars to zoom 7 around the blocks. They don't come cheap. They're $10.15 an hour or 73 bucks 8 a day plus 75 dollars in fees. Gas, though, is free and there's a neat way to pick the vehicles up by placing a special card against a sensor 9 which unlocks the doors.
