Good afternoon, from the CNN center in Atlanta, I'm Naamua Delaney .Thanks for checking in with us. Here's a look at what's happening Now In The News.

US intelligence officials are laying out evidence showing that North Korea was helping 1 Syria build a nuclear facility. Israel bombed that facility last September but never disclosed the target of the strike. Syrian officials call the accusations 2 absurd and preposterous 3.

Palestinian authority President Mahmoud Abbas is in Washington. He meets President Bush today. On the agenda is the Middle East peace process. Abbas is pressing the US to help kick-start talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

The hundreds of children taken in a raid on the polygamist compound in Texas are going to group homes, shelters and foster care. Child welfare official say the children won't have contact with other kids. TVs will be turned off, and they can still be home-schooled. They say it's meant to protect the children who until now have lived a secluded 4 life.

With gas prices sky-high, this little hybrid 5 is revving 6 up interest in New York. Beginning this week, drivers can rent the eco-friendly zipcars to zoom 7 around the blocks. They don't come cheap. They're $10.15 an hour or 73 bucks 8 a day plus 75 dollars in fees. Gas, though, is free and there's a neat way to pick the vehicles up by placing a special card against a sensor 9 which unlocks the doors.

We're now to some extreme and unexpected spring weather. This is wide spread damage from an apparent tornado 10 in the community of Crolly, near Dallas. It formed amid severe thunderstorms that pounded northern and western Texas. So far there are no reports of injuries.

Well, it's a quick look at what's making news this hour. Stay with CNN for more on these stories and the other news of the day.
