James Bond's car maker 1 is up for sale. The ailing 2 Ford 3 Motor Company needs money, and while they currently have no plans to sell their Jaguar 4 or Land Rover lines of luxury cars, they are offering the Aston Martin brand for sale. Astin Martin was founded in 1914 and has been part of Ford since 1994. With much of an Astin Martin car being handmade, Ford could integrate very little of its operations with those of their other manufacturing plants. The car has been driven by the lead character in the James Bond movies from 1964's "Goldfinger" to 2002's "Die Another Day," which helped the V-12 Vanquish 5 break Aston Martin sales records.
