Can Animals Be Made 1 to Work for Us?

Can animals be made to work for us? Some scientists 2 think that one day animal may be taught 3 to do a number or simple 4 jobs. They say that in a film or on TV, we may see elephants or monkeys, dogs, bears or other animals doing a lot of things. If you watch carefully 5, you may find that those animals are always given 6 some things to eat in return 7 for doing them. The scientists said 8 that may different animals may be taught to do a number of simple jobs if they know they will get something to eat in return. Of course 9, as 10 we know that dogs can be used 11 to guard 12 a house. And elephants can be used to do some heavy jobs. And we can also teach animals to work in factory. Apes 13, for example, have been used in America to help make cars. And scientists believe 14 that these large monkeys may one day get in cross and even 15 drive trains.
