A: Hi, I was trying to catch up with you.
B: What happened?
A: Money had burned a hole in my pocket. You usually have some savings 1. I wonder if you can lend me some money?
B: You’re daydreaming 2. I’m short of money myself.
A: Look, I want to buy a digital camera, and I’m only short of 150 bucks 3.
B: Why not save towards it?
A: The camera is on sale right now. This can save me almost 25 percent.
B: Well, I’d lend you the money if you were in real redouble. But a new camera isn’t urgent.
A: Then I’m afraid I’ll have to try someone who’s more generous.
