[00:17.38]We interviewed Marie Logan from Brisbane.
[00:20.65]Well, the first question I have for you
[00:22.85]is simple. What is a solar car?
[00:26.25]Solar cars are cars that use the sun's energy
[00:29.19]for power.That means 3 they don't use petrol,
[00:31.40]gas or any other fuel,just the sunlight 4.
[00:34.80]And why are people interested in solar cars?
[00:38.17]Well, people have been worried about pollution
[00:40.61]caused by fuels like petrol andgas
[00:42.99]for a long time now.
[00:44.79]Solar cars are clean and safe
[00:46.47]so there is a lot of interest in them.
[00:48.37]You've been designing solar racing cars
[00:50.73]for a long time.
[00:52.34]When did you start?
[00:53.88]Well, I've been interested in cars
[00:55.82]since kindergarten.
[00:57.56]When I was at university,
[00:58.86]I started designing my car.
[01:01.05]I've designed five or six different cars so far
[01:04.00]And I've been taking part in races
[01:06.10]for about four years.
