Have you eaten out at any good Chinese restaurants lately?
你最近有在中国吃到一些什么好吃的东西吗？
I like Chinese food a lot.. I just don’t like Chinese restaurants very much….
我非常喜欢中国的食物，但对于中国的餐馆，我不敢轻易苟同。
Why? Some Chinese restaurants have great food!
为什么？很多中国餐馆做的食物都很好吃啊。
But a lot of the time the service sucks…
同时，他们中的大多数，服务也很糟糕。
It’s not that the waiters are rude… they’re actually very nice. It’s just that the management usually really sucks.这不是说服务员态度粗鲁的意思，事实上他们很友好。只不过管理的方式我不太认同而已。
So what’s it like in America then? The service is better?
那在美国，服务是怎样的？会比中国的好吗？
In the west, we tip our servers. This means the nicer, faster, more attentive waiter, will get a bigger tip, therefore, make more money.
在西方国家里，我们都会有服务费（小费）。这意味着那些能够提供更加优质便捷细心的服务的服务员们能够赚取更多的小费。
