Andy: Don't pick up. Don't pick up. Don't pick up. Don't pick...
Emily: Hi.
Andy: Emily?
Emily.Hi, hi. Sorry I'm late. It's just Miranda wanted some scarves from Hermes. And she did tell me yesterday, but I forgot like an idiot. And so I                   , of course.
Andy: Emily, Emily, l-I need to talk to you.
Emily: I called Martine at home, and she opened the shop early. (Emily ran into a passerby 1 ) Whoa! I'm sorry. (Continued to talk with Andy)She opened the shop early for me, so I got them, which is great.
Andy: Okay. Um, Emily, wh-when you come in... there's something I have to talk to you about.
Emily: Well, I hope it's not another Miranda problem.
Andy: Not exactly.
Emily: Well, good, because I've got so much to deal with before I go. I swear to God...
(Emily was knocked off by a car...and was sent to hospital. )
Andy:Emily?
Emily: I don't care if she was gonna fire you or beat you with a red-hot poker(['poʊkər]炙热的拨火棍)!
Andy: Emily, I didn't have a choice. You know how she is.
Emily: Oh please. That is a pathetic ( [pə'θetɪk] adj. 可怜的、可悲的)excuse. Do you know what really just... gets(在口语中有激怒、惹恼的意思) me about this whole thing... is that, you know, you're the one who said you don't really care about this stuff. And you don't really care about fashion. You just wanna be a journalist.
Andy: Emily,                    . I don't                 you.
Emily: Face it, Andy, you sold your soul the day you put on that first pair of Jimmy Choo's. I saw it. And you know what really just kills me about this whole thing... is the clothes that you're gonna get. I mean, you                 . You eat carbs (淀粉质食物), for Christ's sake. God, it's so unfair!
Andy: Emily.
Emily: Just go.
Andy: Emily, I...
Emily: I said go!
