Thanks to social media a Milwaukee, Wisconsin woman was able to get her St. Bernard puppy back .
Mica 1 Chenault parked her car in front of a Home Depot 2 store to run some errands. She locked the doors and cracked the windows open for her puppy and went into the store. When she came back to the car, the door was open and Kura, her puppy was gone.
Ms. Chenault immediately filed a police report . Next, she made some flyers and posted them in the area and she posted on social media sites to get help in locating the missing puppy. Soon, the incident started getting a lot of attention on social media and then local news media .
With all of the media attention, the thief most likely released the puppy. A family found the puppy wandering in the street and called Ms. Chenault after seeing her Facebook posts.
Some have criticized Ms. Chenault for leaving the dog in her car, but it is not illegal in the state of Wisconsin.
