Topic1-Targeted poverty alleviation 1 in China
Since the year of 2012, more than 10 million Chinese people have been lifted out of poverty every year. At the ongoing 2 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China vows 3 to eliminate poverty by 2020.
Poverty is a global issue. According to the World Bank in 2015, 702 million people live in extreme poverty which is approximately 9.6 percent of the global population.

Topic2-The Chinese public ready for kids to have the mother's family name
A survey conducted by China Youth Daily found, to the surprise of many, approximately 55 percent of respondents could accept their children to take on the mother's family name, instead of the father's family name. Among more than two thousand respondents, only 23 percent of respondents say they could not accept it at all.
