　　第28期:有事您说话

　　面试官亨利先生与应聘者网小姐顺利签约后，双方就工作中的一些问题做了交流。
　　Miss Wang: Now you're my boss, Mr. Henry.
　　Henry: Do you have any other particular conditions that you would like the company to take into consideration 1?
　　Miss Wang: No, nothing is in particular.
　　Henry: You may ask questions about us, if you have any.
　　Miss Wang: All right. When can I start?
　　Henry: We'll notify 2 you next week at the latest.
　　重点讲解：
　　1. particular 特殊的，特别的；与它表达相同意思的词语还有：special
　　相关链接：
　　special 这个特别指的是那种“与众不同的特别”，即一个东西或人或事与相同的、相似的比较，截然不同，所带来的“本性”的特别。
　　如： She's a special one. 她是与众不同的一个。
　　particular 这个特别，更多的是，说话人主观的一个强调，更多的强调“这单独的一个”，至于这一个是不是根其他的相比很不同，可能是，也可能不是，如：
　　I'm particularly interested in her，cus she's so special. 我对她特别有兴趣，因为她太与众不同了。
　　I'm having particular interest in her，cus she's ordinary like a girl next door. 我对她特别有兴趣，因为她普通得就像邻家女孩一样。
　　或者也可以是提到“这单独的一个”，以作更具体、深入的解释、分析或举例。至于“这单独的一个”，是不是与众不同的特别的，其实往往不是的，因为解释、分析或举例，基本都会用典型的例子，而很少用特例。
　　如：In particular / Particularly， let's look at a typical example of .....
　　当然，这种区别也不绝对，你也可能会说：She's my special one. 她是我的那个特别的一个。这很可能是在强调自己的感受，不过，这句话的重音和意思强调都应该在 my 而不是special, 而且，也是说，在我眼里，她和其他人不同。
　　2. “All right.”的意思是“好吧！”
　　相关链接：All right.与That's all right.都是英语口语中常用的应答语，其主要用法如下：
　　一、All right. 应用平台
　　作对方建议或劝告的应答语。例如： —Let's go and ask him. 咱们去问他吧。 —All right. 好的。 —Shall we go home? 我们回家好吗？ —All right. 好的。 —You'd better not smoke. 你最好不要抽烟。 —All right. 好的。
　　2. 作对方想法或请求的应答语。例如： —I think it is green. 我认为它是绿色。 —All right. 对。 —Pass her a piece of paper,please. 请递给她一张纸。 —All right. 好的。 —Can I put my bag here? 我把书包放在这儿行吗？ —All right. 行。 —Will you please say that again? 你再说一遍好吗？ —All right. 好的。
　　二、That's all right.应用平台
　　1. 作对方抱歉的礼貌应答语。例如： —I'm sorry, I can't go there with you. 对不起，我不能同你一起去。 —That's all right. 没关系。
　　2. 作对方感谢的应答语。例如： —Thank you very much for your help. 非常感谢你的帮助。 —That's all right. 别客气。
　　王小姐：现在您是我的老板了，亨利先生。
　　亨利：您还有什么别的问题需要公司特别考虑的吗？
　　王小姐：没有，没有什么特殊要求。
　　亨利：如果您有什么问题可以问我们。
　　王小姐：好的。我什么时候开始上班？
　　亨利：我们最迟下周通知您。
