Unit One Attending an interview (Tony is in an interview)
A: How do you do. My name is Tony. I’m here to apply for the position of engineer.
B: How do you do, Tony. I’m Anna. Please take a seat.
A: Thank you.
B: I’ve look through your resume. Please could you describe briefly 1 your strong point?
A: Sure. I’d like to say three points. First of all I’ve been as an engineer for five years and gained rich experience. Secondly 2 I personally thing I’m very good at thinking and as well operating. I’ve been awarded high design and technical prize at school and in the prior companies. Finally I’d like to add that I love the profession of the engineer and prefer to work in diligent 3 and down to earn manner. Therefore I think I will be competent to the job.
B: Um, could I have a look at the prize paper you’ve mentioned?
A: Certainly, here you are.
B: Thank you. And I’d like to know the reason why you left the prior company.
A: The section I worked in was shut down due to bad sales. My skills turned idle as a result.
B: All right. I’ve got the idea. Thank you for attending the interview. We will give you a reply within two weeks.
A: Fine, thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.

A: Hi, may I speak to Miss Anna please?
B: This is Anna.
