Controversy involving pardons issues by the governor of Mississippi.A pardon releases criminals from guilt 1.The President can grant pardon to federal criminals and many states governors have that power as well.Mississippi governor Haley Barbour handed out 200 pardons this week.Most of these people are already out of jail. Governor Barbour said the pardons were intended to help those people find jobs or to register to vote.But some of the pardons went to convicted murders.They are supposed to contact prison officials everyday but four of them took off.A state official said that they may start a man-hunt to track them down.The judge has issued a ruling stopping the release any other prisoners.He said some of the pardons including the ones for the four murders did't meet certain requirements.There's been are lots of debates around this story.What we are asking on our blog is thisWhat factors should President or governor taking into account when considering giving someone a pardon?We are interested here in your thoughts at CNN student news.com

Well,yesterday we talked about the devastation 2 Haiti suffered when a powerful earth quake hit the country in 2010.Two years later,things are getting better but as you gonna see in this next report from Johnason Man that the recovery process has been slow.
Haiti has been so poor for so long.It was hard to imagine that things could get much worse.And two years ago that hard to imagine happened.A 7.0 magnitude killed estimated 220,000 people,made 1.5million more people homeless and turned Port-au Princess the capital into a sea of displaced families and crumbled 3 cement.Isolated 4 cases of *turned into a national epidemic 5.Things were bad before.Suddenly,they were utterly 6 broken.The best hope was then in a phrase that Haiti would build back better. Somethings are better.The International community has spent more than 2 billions through they promised twice as much.It helps move more than a million Haitians out of crowds on Senatey Camps. ..that UN has built 193 new earth quake-resistance schools.They helped 753 children back to schools and that does't mean that there are challenges that remain.They are huge but there are reasons for opportunism.
But half a million people are still living under tense and .. and Haiti is still a nation where most people don't have running water,toilet,medical care or jobs.About three quarters of the country's workers are unemployed 7 or under employment.It's still Haiti.There is being no happy ending.JM reporting.
