After the first face-to-face meeting between Chinese president Xi Jinping and US president Donald Trump 2 in Florida this April, the two countries have been coordinating 3 closely over a series of high-profile events, including the 100-day plan aimed at addressing the trade imbalance between the two, as well as the US sending a delegation 4 to the 1st Belt and Road Forum 5 for International Cooperation held here in Beijing.
Concerning the cooperation on the Belt and Road initiative, experts believe there's potential for China and the US in collaborating 6 in the area of African development.
