Lesson 65 Sue’s diary 1: Farmer Gimbel arrives
Grandfather and I
watched the donkey 2.
It was 3 still in the middle of the road.
Then a policeman arrived.
“Whose donkey is it?” he asked.
“It’s farmer Gimble’s,” I said 4.
“Look, he’s coming.”
Then farmer Gimble arrived.
“You must move your donkey,”
the policeman said.
Farmer Gimble pulled 5
and the policeman pushed 6,
but the donkey didn’t move.
We laughed
but the car drivers
were very cross!
