1. Actor Paul Newman has died at the age of 83. His publicist says he died yesterday at his farmhouse 1 near Westport, Connecticut after a long battle with cancer. Newman was a ten-time Oscar nominee 2, winning once for the "Color of Money" in 1987.
2. Congressional leaders say they hope to reach an agreement on a multi-billion-dollar bailout plan before the markets open Monday.
