Kingdom 界
There are so many kinds of living things. 地球上有各种各样的生物。
There are plants, animals, bacteria, fungi 1 and so on. 其中有植物、动物、细菌、真菌等等。
These are the highest categories when you group living things. 你将生物归类的时候，这些生物是最高的类别。
They are called kingdoms. 它们被称为界。
For example, in the animal kingdom, there are cats, dogs, frogs, snakes and so on. 例如，在动物界，其中有猫、狗、蛙、蛇等等。
Every living thing in the animal kingdom can move by itself. 动物界的所有动物都能自己移动。
In the plant kingdom, there are pine trees, apple trees, roses and so on. 在植物界，其中有松树、苹果树、玫瑰等等。
Everything in the plant kingdom has roots. 植物界的所有植物都有根系。
