 The political deadlock 1 in Papua New Guinea has dragged into a third day. The country now has two prime ministers and two governors-general. Sir Michael Somare and Peter O'Neil also have their own cabinets and police chiefs. 


 
A major technical glitch 3 left thousands of Commonwealth 4 Bank customers unable to access their accounts last night. For almost five hours, customers couldn't withdraw cash from ATMs or access their accounts online. The bank experienced the same problem exactly one year ago. 
 
Striking WA waterside employees are expected to return to work this morning after newly sworn-in Workplace Relations Minister Bill Shorten intervened in their dispute with the stevedore 5 company POAGS. The dispute saw 120 workers locked out at the Bunbury and Fremantle ports. Both parties have now agreed to take part in mediation 6
 
Belgian police have found the body of a woman at the home of the gunman who opened fire on Christmas shoppers. Prosecutors 7 say they believe the woman was killed before Nordine Amrani went on his murderous shooting spree. The body of the woman was found in a shed the gunman used to store drugs and weapons.
 
And Time magazine has named the collective protester as its person of the year. The award recognises a year in which unhappiness with politics and the economy was given voice in streets around the world, most notably 8 in the Mideast. The shared honor beat individual contenders including the commander of the US mission to kill Osama Bin 2 Laden 9.
