The parents of Melbourne backpacker of Britt Lapthorne have welcomed an Australian review of the investigation 1 into her death. The 21-year-old's body was found off the coast of Croatia three weeks after she disappeared from a Dubrovnik nightclub in 2008. Local authorities have been unable to determine how she died, but two Federal Police officers will now travel to Croatia to reexamine the evidence. Her father Dale says it's a welcome development, but he is concerned that the AFP (Australian Federal Police) will only stay for around 10 days.
More than 100 militants 2 suspected of having links to Al-Qaeda have been arrested in Saudi Arabia. Local authorities say the group had been planning terrorist attacks on oil companies.
