Australian scientists are developing a new skin technology that could improve treatment for burns victims. The synthetic 11 skin grows up to 1.5 centimetres thick compared to current skin grafts 12 which only have a one millimetre surface. It's hoped that the new skin will breathe and stretch better than grafted 13 skin.
