So I'm doing the scene, scanning 1 by Lassie in job pursuit 2, feeling a little bit ridiculous in 1950s in my outfit 3. You know, trying to do the scene where I found out my horses are in a lot of trouble and I'm supposed to stand there and cry. And I did the take and it was pretty awful. I could tell you it was really flaky, and you know, and I just didn't get there as an actor. And I ask the director if I can do another one. He said, oh no, no, no, kid, that's fine, that's fine. Moving on. And I say, well, OK, it's part for the course, I was just to do one take. So now I gonna do Lassie's close-up. Soon I thinking about, where are my hands? It was actually on Lassie's collar, I was holding Lassie's collar. So in order to match in the clothes of Lassie, my hand has to be in there. So I thought, oh, you know what, I'm gonna to tense my hand up a little bit. You know, I want to show some emotions with my hands. In my help, when the catalepsy affected 4 my cry so suck. And so they roll the cameras in a certain point, you know, I stook like moving my hand a little bit tensing it and things like that on Lassie's close-up. And all of a sudden the director screams by the camera, cut, cut. He comes out upstairs and watches, he glares 5 at me, he says, OK, we’re gonna to do another take. That's a shocker, take 2! And then he turns to me and said, kid, don't you ever try to steal Lassie's close-up again, you got it? I say ok, I say, OK, another take". That was the only time we did two takes and was because I was trying to steal Lassie's close-up.
