In an election that's entering its final hours, the party leaders have been crisscrossing the nation in a final push for votes. David Cameron's been on the road for nearly 36 hours straight, going all out for a Conservative win. In Wales he met local school children and a crowd of Tory supporters.
“If you vote Labor 1, you are gonna get five more years of Gordon Brown; if you vote Liberal Democrat 2, you are probably gonna get five more years of Gordon Brown. It is only by voting Conservative that you can get a new government.”
Elsewhere, the Q&A at Durham University, Nick Clegg told students it was their chance to vote Lib Dem and do away with all-star politics forever.
“We've been trying this now. We've been testing this to destruction for 65 years now. Blue Team, Red Team. Blue Team, Red team. Conservative government, Labor government. And look what's happened, look what's happened---the biggest recession in a generation.”
Behind in the polls, Labor going to election day as underdogs. But Gordon Brown hasn't given in. He was rallying the party faithful in Blackpool, insisting only Labor can be trusted with Britain's future.
“We are the only party with a serious plan for the future. Please make sure that you come out and come home to Labor, come home to Labor tomorrow. Thank you very much.”
The finishing line is now in sight but the truth is this is a close election. And no one knows how it land. Even now millions of voters are still thought to be undecided.
