The new leader of China's ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) Xi Jinping has called for efforts to uphold and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics.
执政党中国共产党新任领导人习近平强调坚持和发展中国特色社会主义。
He made the comments Saturday at the opening ceremony of a high-profile workshop attended by new CPC Central Committee members and alternate members elected at the 18th CPC National Congress in November last year.
周六，新进中央委员会委员、候补委员参加了倍受瞩目的研讨班，习近平在开班式上发表讲话，参加研讨班的委员均由去年11月第18届全国人民代表大会选出。
Xi Jinping said CPC members should deepen reform and opening up, make discoveries, innovations and progresses.
习近平表示，共产党员要不断深化改革开放，不断有所发现、有所创造、有所前进。
He urged Party members to be brave in analyzing 1 and responding to pressing problems that the public want solving and to promote innovation in practice, theory and institutional building.
习近平强调，全党要敢于和善于分析回答公众迫切需要解决的问题，不断推进实践创新、理论创新、制度创新。
China's air force has issued a statement saying no Myanmarese jets have entered Chinese territory.
中国空军发表声明表示，没有发生缅甸战机进入中国领空的情况。
The statement comes in response to reports that Myanmarese fighter jets had mistakenly entered China after armed conflict broke out in northern Myanmar.
此前有消息称，缅甸北部爆发武装冲突后，缅甸军机曾误入中国领空，中国空军就此予以否认。
According to the statement, China's air force has tightened 2 surveillance over territorial 3 air across the China-Myanmar border since the conflict began. The closest Myanmarese jets are five kilometers away from the border.
