Dialogue 1
A: Hi, do you know what’s for dinner? I’m starving.
B: We’re on our own tonight, dad’s taking mom out.
A: out? What do you mean out?
B: you know on a date, they are going out to dinner.
A: dad and mom?
B: yeah, they said they’re reviving the old tradition.
A: you mean this is going to be a regular thing?
B: that’s right, once a week. Do you want to order some pizza?
Dialogue 2
A: jenny, I was wondering…if you.. erh are you busy this Friday?
B: yes, Friday I have a class, right after work.
A: oh, what about Saturday? Are you free then?
B: Saturday my parents are coming to town. What’s up?
A: what about tonight? Do you have plans tonight?
B: no, do you want to go and do something?
A: yes, yes, I want to take you to dinner.
B: oh, that sounds great. How about 6 o’clock?
Dialogue 3
A: what are you grinning about?
B: stephany said she would go out with me.
A: I thought mom said no dating till you are 16.
B: that’s in one month,and besides, this is a group date with all of our friends.
A: all of your friends, what are you planning to do?
B: we’re going fishing.
A: what a party! I hope you don’t expect the girls to fish.
B: these girls are different, they are not wimpy.

A: I want take shella on a date, but I don’t have much money.
B: what does she like to do?
A: she likes to golf, dance and eat foreign food.
B: sounds like she has pretty pricy tastes.
A: well, I really like being with her.
B: have you thought about going in Dutch?
A:Dutch, where is that?
B: not where, what. Dutch means you both pay your own way.
A: oh, I wonder if she’ll go for that.
