Supreme Court justices from China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries have gathered in Suzhou city in East China's Jiangsu province for -- The Conference of the Presidents of the Supreme Courts.
Chinese president Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the Presidents and chief justices attending the event. "Justice in the Era of Global Information" will be the main discussion topic at the two-day meeting.
Delegates will hold discussions on enhancing communication and cooperation -- to solve disputes and fight crime -- so that China and its Central and Eastern European partners can deepen ties.
Attendess hope to find new ways to work together to fight cross-border terrorism, extremism, drug sales, and cyber crimes.
