The plunge of oil prices has helped reduce fuel costs and made airlines big winners. Cathay Pacific Airways said on Wednesday that its annual profit nearly doubled in 2015.
The net profit of Hong Kong's biggest airline jumped 90% from the year before, to 6 billion Hong Kong dollars, or 773 million US dollars.
Jet fuel cost, which is the single biggest expense for the carrier and its subsidiary Dragon-air, plunged 38% last year.
