Four Chinese nationals have been confirmed dead in the stampede near Mecca last Thursday.
Foreign Ministry 1 spokesman Hong Lei announced on Monday.
"The Chinese delegation 2 on the pilgrimage has confirmed that around 14,500 of its members have completed their activities in Saudi Arabia and will start returning to China. Four Chinese participants have died in the stampede."
The spokesperson added that the Chinese embassy in Saudi Arabia will continue to monitor new developments and manage issues.
Two million pilgrims took part in the Hajj's last major rite 3 at the Mina valley near Mecca.
