A new report is calling on the Australian Defense 2 Force to address the challenges of climate change. The Australian Strategic Policy Institute believes the ADF is under-prepared for potential regional instability caused by global warming. The report says defense needs to include climate change and strategic planning and outlined new policies.
European leaders are trying to reach a last-minute deal to save Cyprus from bankruptcy 3. If they fail to reach a deal, the European Central Bank says it'll cut off the emergency funds to the country.
And a German newspaper says the Australia-born Israeli spy, Ben Zigier, was jailed for passing secrets to Israel's arch-enemy-- Hezbullah in Lebanon. Der Spiegel says Mr Zygier tries to recruit an east European man linked to Hezbullah. It says he apparently 4 gave the man information that led to the arrest of two Lebaneses working for Mossad.
