1985年，主唱兼吉他手John Rzeznik与玩重金属乐的表哥Robby Takac找来前鼓手George Tutuska，于美国纽约州水牛城组成了三人摇滚团体Goo Goo Dolls。1999年他们赢得第41届葛莱美音乐奖"年度唱片""最佳流行演唱团体""年度歌曲"等三项大奖提名。2010年他们的新单曲Not Broken令人惊艳，开头的旋律就相当抓人耳朵。
