In the English Premier League Arsenal travelled to the Etihad in what would be Manuel Pellegrini's last home game in charge of Manchester City. The Chilean will be replaced by Pep Guardiola in the summer having secured one championship in his time in charge.
This season City's best outcome will be a champions league place but anything other than a win against the Gunners could pave the way for rivals United leapfrog their cross-city rivals.

United will over take their blue rivals if they can beat West Ham later on Wednesday.
