CCTV9英语新闻：Xi sends congratulatory message on opening of 7th ministerial meeting of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum

A Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum has kicked off in Doha. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Qatar's foreign minister and the Arab League Secretary general attended the opening ceremony.
Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message, in which he said China is willing to push strategic ties further with Arab countries.
China-Arab relations have grown significantly in the past two years. Wang Yi described the relationship as a model for developing countries. He added the Belt and Road Initiative will bring new strategic opportunities for the Arab region. Qatar's Foreign Minister described China as a natural partner and said Arab states are willing to work towards a more comprehensive and strategic partnership.
