A man has attacked passengers with a knife at a train station in the Munich area of southern Germany. One person is dead and four have life-threatening injuries.
German media said police had arrested the perpetrator and all the victims were men.
Germany has been playing a supporting role in the fight against Islamic State. But unlike France and Belgium, it has not suffered a major attack by Islamist militants.
