According to Premier Li Keqiang Sunday's report card on the government work, last year China's non-financial outward direct investment reached 118 billion yuan, up nearly 15 percent from a year earlier. And the United Kingdom has become China's biggest investment destination in Europe in recent years.
According to the UK Foreign Ministry, during the past 5 years, China's direct investment to the UK has taken almost one third of its total investment in Europe. And statistics also showed China's direct investment to the UK... exceeded 5 billion US dollars in 2014, seeing an 85 per cent annual growth in the past five years. And that growth rate is still increasing.
Meanwhile, according to the UK Trade & Investment, in 2014 alone, Chinese enterprises launched over 100 investment projects in the country, creating nearly 6,000 jobs.
