Daughter: well, that’s an incredibly /ɪnˈkred·ə·bli/ ambitious /æmˈbɪʃəs/ plan, which will have to wait.
Mon: why?
Daughter: Because we’re going to go out, to dinner or to a movie or shopping, anything to get you out of the house.
Mom: oh, no, Thea. I’m just too tired.
Daughter: really, that’s pretty amazing, considering you’ve been in bed all day.
Mom: please don't presume to think that you know what I’m going through.
Daughter: I do know. I lost dad, too. I’m worried about Walter, too. But I don't get to worry about him, because I’m busy worrying about you.
Mom: I never asked you to do that.
Daughter: right. Cause you don't ask me to do anything anymore. You don't ask me to do homework, or to be home at a decent /ˈdisənt/ hour. I mean, you basically stopped being my parent.
Mom: well, how’s this? Don't talk to your mother like that.
Daughter: maybe you should start acting 1 like my mother. So I don't have to act like yours.
