If you still don’t know who Justin Bieber is, you are a little bit outdated 1. The 17 years’ old boy has already made a performance at the inauguration 2 of president Obama and delivered a speech at Grammy award in 2010. Come with me to know more about this famous boy.

Bieber was born in Canada and during his childhood, Bieber taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet 3. In early 2007, when he was twelve, Bieber took part in a local singing competition and placed second. Then his mother posted a video of the performance on YouTube for their family and friends to see. She continued to upload videos of Bieber singing of various R&B songs, and Bieber's popularity on the site grew until finally attracted the attention of the famous R&B singer Usher 4.

Bieber's first single, "One Time", was released to radio while Bieber was still recording 5 his debut 6 album. The song later peaked at number 17 on the Billboard 7 Hot 100. But his most popular song is "Baby", the lead single from his debut album, My World 2.0, was released in January 2010 and became his biggest hit thus far, charting at number five in the U.S. and reaching the top ten in seven other countries.

Besides singing, Bieber released an autobiographical film entitled Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, on February 11, 2011. It topped the box office with an estimated grossing of $12.4 million on its opening day from 3,105 theaters. Never Say Never is said to have exceeded industry expectations.

The huge success all proves that Bieber owns enormous influence on the world. Largely because of these facts, Bieber associates himself with charity to raise the public awareness 8. After the earthquake in Japan, Bieber wrote on Twitter "Japan needs our help... We all need to step up." And meantime he has agreed to contribute songs to an album to raise funds for victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami 9.

Will, he is still young, the future is waiting for him. But we are delighted to regard him as a positive and talented young artiste.
