2018年CRI Joan Chen, Zhao Lixin to speak for"Focus on China" at Venice Film Festival

"Focus on China," a special event of the Venice International Film Festival, is scheduled to take place from August 30 to September 1st.
Actress Joan Chen and actor Zhao Lixin have been appointed to recommend good Chinese films to the festival.
Chen expressed her willingness at a small ceremony recently held in teh Italian embassy in Beijing.
"I long for being this image ambassador because I live in different cultural environments. I hope to well convey the best culture of China to other parts of the world."
Zhao Lixin also feels honored in his new role.
"Italy is a place full of charm, where I've just been to. This solidifies 1 my determination of trying my best to tell Italian people the charm of modern Chinese films by taking advantage of this international film exchange platform."
The Italian Film Audiovisual and Multimedia 2 Industries Association and Xinhuanet jointly 3 launched the "Focus on China" forum 4 at the Venice International Film Festival in 2016, with the hope it could further promote Sino-Italian and Sino-European interaction in the field of movies and culture.
