1962Johnny Carson debuts 3 as the host of NBC’s The Tonight Show. He’s reigned 4 as TV’s king of late night lasts for nearly 30 years.
And 1971Walt Disney World, home of the magic kingdom Epcot and more, opens in Orlando, Florida.
