The newly elected chair of the Kuomintang, Chu Li-luan, says his party will continue to create exchanges with the Communist Party of China.
The mayor of New Taipei City has made the comments as part of his current trip to Hong Kong.
Chu Li-luan says the KMT's position towards the "1992 Consensus 1" remains 2 consistent.
The concensus reaffirmed the position held by both sides on the Taiwan Straits that there is "one-China."
Chu Li-luan also says he is likely to attend this year's Cross-Strait Economic, Trade and Culture Forum 3 due to take place in Xiamen next month.
The remaining Chinese tourists who had been stuck in Nepal for the past 5-days have now returned home.
Around 2-thousand Chinese nationals became trapped in the country following the shut-down of Nepal's only international airport this past week.
The Chinese tourists are among some 40-thousand people who became stuck in Nepal after a Turkish Airlines flight veered 4 off the runway at the Kathmandu International Airport on Wednesday.
The airport resumed services on Saturday following the investigation 5 into the accident.
