The Assistant Treasurer 1 Josh Frydenberg says he thinks there is enough support in the partyroom now for a free vote on the issue. And Victoria Liberal MP Sarah Henderson is the latest Federal politician to back a change. ‘I mean it is inevitable 2 in Australia. Indonesian police say a boat carrying sixty-five asylum 4 seekers has crashed onto a reef after being turned back by Australian authorities. Those on board are from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Myanmar. They are now being held off on Rote 5 Island off West Timor. Authorities say they were on their way to New Zealand when they were intercepted 6.
 
And tributes continue for Victoria’s first female Premier 7 Joan Kirner who has died after a long battle with cancer. She was seventy-six. Ms. Kirner was a teacher before entering politics and became Premier in 1990. Australia’s first female Prime Minister Julie Gillard has described Ms. Kirner as an inspiration and a mentor 8
 
And in South Africa an American tourist has been mauled to death by a lion at a game park on the outskirts 9 of Johannesburg. The lion jumped through the open window of a car carrying two people. A woman died from her injuries. A man is seriously injured in hospital.
