Summing up the five day tour - Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the trip had testified to China's continued efforts to promote mutually beneficial cooperation, and reaffirm China's commitment to safeguarding global nuclear security.


Xi Jinping's time in Prague saw the two countries elevate bilateral 1 relations to a strategic partnership 2.


The two sides have agreed to further strengthen the synergy of bilateral development strategies within the framework of the China inspired Belt and Road Initiative.


As many as 10 intergovernmental documents and 15 business deals have been clinched 3, relating to cooperation on infrastructure 4, automobile 5 manufacturing, finance, nuclear energy, medicine and health.


Chief among them is an agreement on direct flights, seen as an important start for a comprehensive cooperation in transportation, manufacturing and other fields.


In Washington, the Chinese President attended the Nuclear Security Summit, and - in a keynote speech - proposed to promote international cooperation in nuclear security.


Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China had also submitted "the National Progress Report on Nuclear Security" to the summit and underlined China's nuclear security achievements.


China and the United States also issued a joint 6 statement on nuclear security cooperation.


The two countries have jointly 7 built a Center of Excellence 8 on Nuclear Security in Beijing, the largest of its kind in the Asia Pacific region.


Following a one-on-one meeting between Xi Jinping and Barack Obama, the two countries also pledged to sign the Paris Accord on climate change next month.


Foreign Minister Wang Yi added that the trip would help the world to better recognize China's growth course and shore up its anticipation 9 on China's economic outlook.


President Xi emphasised the Chinese economy would maintain a good momentum 10 of growth in the long term and will continue to make great contribution to the world economy.


He noted 11 that this would be achieved through consistent economic restructuring and the build-up of a new driving force of growth in China.


The Chinese President's trip came soon after the release of China's 13th Five-Year Plan for Social and Economic Development.
