We now take a look at China's continuing efforts to develop football around the nation, and for that we turned to someone with a unique perspective.
Darko Matic played for seven years with Beijing Guoan, before moving to Changchun Yatai after last season. With more appearances in the CSL than any other foreign player, Matic has seen first hand the rapid expansion of the game, and he shared his observations from nearly a decade in the country.
