3. Tropical storm Andrea has been bringing wind and rain in the Carolinas, causing thousands of residents to lose power. Forecasters issued flood watches across much of the Carolinas, as well as some tornado 2 watches.
4. The US economy added 175,000 jobs in May, a pace that shows the steady progress with the economic recovery. But the unemployment rate ticked up to 7.6% because more people were trying to find work.
