CCTV9英语新闻：President Xi delivers speech at S&ED opening

The 8th round of the Strategic & Economic Dialogue between China and the US has opened in Beijing. The event will last two days. The dialogue has both a "Strategic Track" and an "Economic Track".
State Councilor Yang Jiechi and US Secretary of State John Kerry will co-chair the "Strategic Track", while Vice Premier Wang Yang and US Secretary of the Treasury Jacob Lew will co-chair the "Economic Track". Chinese President Xi Jinping addressed the joint opening ceremony.
"Agreement was made for the two sides to step up strategic cooperation, expand practical cooperation, properly manage differences...global levels in a wide range of areas," Xi said.
