China and Myanmar continue to strengthen cooperation, this time focusing on non-governmental organizations.
For the first time, NGOs from China held round-table meetings with their Myanmar counterparts in Yangon on Wednesday. They discussed the role of NGOs during a social transition.
Myanmar representatives appreciated the Chinese's assistance in conducting free surgeries for cataract patients, and digging wells for areas suffering from a drought.
Both sides vow to further cooperation in areas such as health care and education, bringing more benefits to the two peoples.
